A must see mangrove boat tour on the Damas River by Leandro, our tour guide

This tour was excellent and our tour guide Leandro was funny and very informative. He even did a great job with taking a few close up photos for us of the animals that we didn't want to get near.

There was a tour bus that came and picked us up at the end of our street to take us to a small speed boat that was 20 minutes away from Manuel Antonia. There were 2 other people on the tour along with us, so it was 7 of us in total on the boat, along with 3 others - the tour guide (Leandro) and the other 2 who were operated the boat.

Leandro was very informative, on the bus and on the boat, and did a great job with stopping the boat for us when we wanted to take pictures of the animals that were inhabiting the Damas river.

We saw capuchin monkeys, a number of different birds, snakes and other animals on the tour and then he took us to a restaurant for lunch afterwards.

He made it very entertaining for us, by joking with us a lot too.

Thank you Leandro and staff for a memorable mangrove tour. We appreciated the time you took to actually explain everything to us in detail. This tour was excellent.

The mangrove boat tour was amazing!

We went on their Damas mangrove boat tour. Leon was our guide for the day and he was incredible! It was a fun tour, super informative, and relaxing. Leon was very knowledge, knowing sone Latin names for animals and plants, and local knowledge on the area. We ended the day with a great meal at a restaurant next to their office.

Boat tour through the mangroves

I really enjoyed the boat tour through the mangroves. We saw a lot of animals as boas, monkeys, crabs, frogs, iguanas and even a baby crocodile. Leandro made the tour through the mangroves super interesting and at the same time we had loads of fun. After the boat tour we had the delicious typical Costa Rican breakfast "Gallo Pinto" in a really cute restaurant. Even the shuttle bus was a nice experience. Thanks Safari Adventures for making my stay unforgettable. Highly recommended!
